Fear Free is proud to support the next generation of animal care professionals through discounted access to our Veterinary Professional Certification Programs. Students, faculty, and staff at accredited veterinary schools, veterinary technician/nurse programs, veterinary assistant schools, and vocational high schools focused on veterinary care are eligible for exclusive academic pricing.
Academia Membership
The Academia Membership is designed for students and faculty of veterinary schools, veterinary technician/nurse schools, veterinary assistant schools, vocational high schools focused on veterinary care, and veterinary teaching hospitals. This membership includes access to the Veterinary Professional Certification Programs (Canine & Feline, Avian, and Equine), Fear Free for Humans course, Alone in the Wilderness course, and select educational and marketing resources. To purchase this membership, students will be required to upload proof of enrollment, such as a screenshot of their current class schedule with dates or a letter from their school’s dean, as well as their graduation year when creating an account. Faculty and staff will be required to upload proof of employment, such as a faculty/staff ID, when creating an account. This membership type is valid for 12-months from the registration date.

To successfully attain and maintain certification, all members must:
- Pass each online module with a score of 80% or higher.
- Sign and uphold to the Fear Free Pledge, a commitment to follow a humane, emotionally protective code of conduct and ethical standards.
- Keep an active membership.

Number of Members
This membership is available for one year only and is not renewable. This membership is available for purchase on an individual-level only and cannot be purchased by a Team Administrator. Bulk purchase of this membership must be coordinated by a Fear Free representative.
